Bhobanipur St. Xavier’s Parish has four sub-stations (Mission Stations), namely— Dumrai, Pachuria, Rangamati and Nowdapara. The closest sub-station is located about 10 kms away and farthest one is about 40 kms away from the Parish church. These stations are located among the tribal people, Christians and non-Christians, who are most neglected and deprived of their basic human rights. Most of the people are illiterate and earn their daily living as daily labourers. Few have small pieces of land of their own. Due to utter poverty, they often find it difficult to send their children to school and rather they encourage them to go for work in the fields owned by the rich land-owners. Being a minority group, they often face social and economic discrimination and at times persecution by affluent landlords.

We try to address the various educational, pastoral and social needs of the people. Their need is greater than what can offer.
